For golfers, there are various golf courses in Punta del Este. One is the “Club del Lago Golf Club”. It’s located 11 miles away from downtown and only 2 miles from International Airport, near the beach Solanas.

The court has 20 holes allowing you to play 3 different circuits, sorrounded by forests and 6 artificial lagoons. The course was baptized by Roberto De Vicenzo as the “Augusta of South America”. A variety of tournament are held throughout the year.

Club del Lago Golf Club is the first golf course in South America to achieve ISO 14001 environmental certification.

It is an interesting alternative to consider for those fans of the sport.
